With this recipe, you will get all the benefits of the beeswax in your soap. It makes a nice hard bar of soap, and your skin will love it. Beeswax is a strong anti-inflammatory and helps heal wounded or irritated skin. Furthermore, beeswax is high in vitamin A, which has been found to support cell reconstruction and health.
There are different opinions on how much beeswax can be incorporated into soap recipes. Still, this one is good for unmolding and will work if you incorporate the beeswax into the oils. A normal rate for beeswax is 1-2%, so 8% is very high. Beeswax does not saponify more than about 50%. That is why superfat is set to 0% in the recipe. Beeswax prevents a good lather, so we added Castor and Sunflower Oils to get that bubbly lather we all want.
