In this recipe, we substitute water with Coconut milk. Coconut milk is rich in Vitamin C, which helps maintain the elasticity and flexibility of the skin. It also prevents wrinkles, sagging skin, and age spots.

The oils in this recipe are 32% Coconut 32% Palm 32% Rapeseed and 4% Castor

Double Coconut soap with Peppermint and Eucalyptus

  • Silicone molds

  • 3.84 OZ Coconut oil 76 degree 108,9 grams
  • 3.84 OZ Palm Oil 108,9 grams
  • 3.84 OZ Rapeseed Oil, unrefined canola 108,9 grams
  • 0.48 OZ Castor Oil 13,6 grams
  • 4.56 OZ Frozen Ciconut Milk 129,8
  • 0.38 OZ Pebermint and Eucalyptus Essential Oil 11 grams

Instructions

  • Read the soaping safely page, if you haven´t already
  • Freeze Coconut Milk
  • Dissolve NaOH in the frozen Coconut Milk by slowly adding the NaOH to the milk and stirring gently with the spoon. Leave the mixture, now called lye, to cool down
  • Melt Coconut Oil and mix it with the rest of the ingredients
  • Wait until the lye is between 86 and 104 degrees F (20-40 degrees C) and heat up the oils to approx the same temperature if needed
  • Mix the oils and the lye by slowly pouring the lye into the oils, blending it little by little
  • Use a stick blender for 1-5 minutes until trace
  • Stir in your essential oil blend
  • Pour your batter into a mold or molds as you prefer
  • Check if the soap is firm enough to cut after 24 hours
  • Cut the soap bars (if you used a big mold) and trim the edges
  • Leave to cure e.g. in a paper bag for 4 – 6 weeks and check pH. Store it by room temperature
